Each year for seven years my class has adopted Weaver Hollow Creek as a part of D.E.C.’s Adopt-A -Creek program. We visit the creek to measure and observe the health of the wildlife and water. Learning how to volunteer in our community, we also pick up trash that has collected. Our local singer and songwriter, Mary Lou Walker, wrote us a beautiful song about what we do at the creek.
